BOTANICS

2003 - 2005

Hart’s early botanical studies began uniquely as portraits of plants propagated in his own garden. As the series expanded he began to incorporate cut flora but continued his practice of working in natural surroundings using only natural light. His first major solo exhibition of this series was Intimate Plants at The Photographers’ Gallery Print Room (London) in 2005. Subsequently the series was exhibited at Kew Royal Botanic Gardens and in collaboration with Harman Technology a selection of these works are currently presented on Ilford-Photo brand packaging internationally.
