Book Signing | Thursday 16 May | 3pm

Photo London brings the finest international photography to the capitol every year. The Fair presents the best historic and vintage works while also spotlighting fresh perspectives in photography. Paul Hart is delighted that work from FRAGILE has been selected as an Exhibitor Highlight.

SUMMER EXHIBITION | Shortlist

Work from Hart’s new series and publication FRAGILE has been shortlisted for the 256th Royal Academy Summer Exhibition.

Of the Summer Exhibition 2024, this year’s co-ordinator Ann Christopher RA said :

I plan to explore the idea of making space, whether giving space or taking space. This can be interpreted in various ways: to make space can meanopenness – making space for something or someone, also making space between things. It is my belief that the spaces in between are as important as whatever those spaces separate. Spaces can not only dramatically enhance the actual works on the wall but also the pleasure of viewing them. In terms of sculpture – well that gives off its own demand for space around it.

PAUL HART STUDIO | February 2023

New Series

During the winter Paul Hart has been making new work of the British landscape concentrating on an area of land close to his home in East Anglia (UK). This series continues to examine the complex and fragile interrelation between humanity and nature, our occupation and our stewardship of the land. By combining a documentary approach with a personal aesthetic, a strangely beautiful environment is revealed in a landscape not usually given much attention. Hart employs the black and white analogue process and his practice involves all aspects of the photographic process from negative to print.
